MuchMusic goes Greek

MuchMusic and MuchMoreMusic have revealed fall schedules heavy with reality and interview shows — featuring the likes of P. Diddy, former 2 Live Crew frontman Luther Campbell and fan favorite Gene Simmons — plus the new arrival from ABC Family, Greek.

MuchMoreMusic will air I Want to Work for Diddy on Sundays starting Aug. 24, following 13 finalists vying to become an assistant to music mogul Sean Combs, followed later that night by Brooke Knows Best, which tracks the 19-year-old daughter of wrestler Hulk Hogan as she strikes out on her own.

Sundays on MMM will also see Gene Simmons Family Jewels return for its third season.

Party of Five, a fan favourite in the ’90s that launched the careers of Canuck Neve Campbell, Matthew Fox (Lost) and Jennifer Love Hewitt (Ghost Whisperer), is set to begin on Monday, Aug. 25. Mondays also have the new series Revival, hosted by fashionista Tracy Melchor (Style VIP).

In October, the channel will bow Luke’s Parental Advisory, another reality that follows Luther ‘Luke’ Campbell, former frontman for the hip-hop group 2 Live Crew, as he engages in his day-to-day adventures as a father, CEO and fiancé.

On MuchMusic, Legally Blonde the Musical: The Search for Elle Woods premieres on Aug. 24. Hosted by Haylie Duff (Seventh Heaven) the reality show will follow 10 young women competing to star in the Broadway version of the Reese Witherspoon movie.

The channel is also set to air So You Think You Can Dance Canada, hosted by its Leah Miller.

Greek, a new drama about college life from ABC Family, will air Sundays at 9pm ET starting Aug. 24 — following a cast of characters through the social terrain of the fraternity system on a U.S. campus.

We’re Experiencing Technical Difficulties, premiering on Aug. 26, is a new series mixing comedy, sketches, animation and fake interviews.

Also returning to MuchMusic is Video on Trial, which kicks off a new season on Sep. 8 with critiques of music videos by comedians.
