Dube returns to ABC

Jon Dube is heading back to ABC, and on Aug. 25 will step down as director of digital media for cbcnews.ca to be VP of abcnews.com.

CBC announced the departure in a memo to staff, applauding the improvements and increased traffic at its online news wing during his three-year stint.

‘Jon has overseen the growth of CBCNews.ca into one of the most respected news sites in the world,’ wrote news boss Todd Spencer.

Dube worked at abcnews.com some 10 years before moving to msnbc.com and then the Ceeb. At his new post he will oversee strategic planning, business strategy, editorial content and production of the U.S. network’s online news service, according to a release from ABC.
