Musical acts including Sam Roberts, Bedouin Soundclash and Barenaked Ladies will sing for Sinking Ship Entertainment this fall on the second season (52 x 4) of Roll Play.

The live-action series, seen here on Treehouse, will feature 18 new songs by an assortment of Canadian bands and singers, pairing its cast of active preschoolers and puppets with the likes of Randy Bachman of The Guess Who, the Toronto Children’s Chorus and Montreal’s Bran Van 3000.

‘We really wanted to create a soundtrack that parents enjoy as much as kids,’ says creator and director J.J. Johnson.

Each episode includes a story or song about a particular puppet. Season two debuts on Sept. 1 and will also include new black-light puppets by the troupe Famous People Players.
