Rekha Shah has signed on at CCI Entertainment as director of sales. The former Alliance Atlantis exec starts next month and will handle sales in Asia, eastern Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Canada. She will also be responsible for acquisitions and management of the company’s releasing department.

Shah was most recently head of TV distribution at Alliance Films, and before that was director of development at Toronto Star Television. Her career began as a performer, appearing in the early ’90s on shows including You Can’t Do That on Television and hosting the weekend children’s block on TVO.
