Astral Media is contributing more than $1 million in advertising space to the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada, in an effort to boost the organization’s new ‘endMS’ campaign, which got underway earlier this month.
The donation, announced Wednesday, is meant to draw attention to the MS Society’s work in funding research to end the as-of-yet incurable neurological disease.
‘We believe strongly in this campaign and are pleased to play a role in making it successful,’ commented Astral president Ian Greenberg in a release.
The MS Society will utilize Astral properties including its television networks Family Channel and Super Écran, its network of 82 radio stations, outdoor billboards and websites for its campaign — which will attempt to raise $60 million in support of MS research.
‘Through this generous sponsorship package, we fully expect to enhance the profile of the MS cause and direct more funds to research,’ said Rick Waugh, honorary chair of the endMS campaign.
