Crosby lands at Temple

Tecca Crosby has landed at Temple Street Productions, which on Monday named the former CTV exec as its VP of drama. Crosby — who was director of drama programming at the network until last fall — is now responsible for development of scripted projects and for deal-making with broadcasters and distributors.

‘Her experience working at all levels of development and production, in many different capacities and on such an impressive list of projects, will be invaluable to us as we continue to grow the dramatic production side of our business,’ said the Toronto company in a release.

Crosby was at CTV for nine years and worked on titles including Degrassi: The Next Generation, Power Play and The Eleventh Hour. She ended her time there sitting in for then-drama SVP Bill Mustos during his year-long sabbatical.

She also co-created the series Slings & Arrows with Susan Coyne and, earlier in her career, was at the Ontario Film Development Corporation and the Canadian Film Centre.

Temple Street last month sold a 25% stake to BBC Worldwide, gaining a first look at formats for which the latter holds Canadian rights. The Brits, in turn, now have access to Temple’s scripted and unscripted programming and formats for overseas exploitation. Temple drama productions include Billable Hours and Queer as Folk, as well as the forthcoming The Session, to air on CBC.
