Decode Entertainment is pairing up with Austraila’s mememe productions to coproduce the 52 x 11 dirtgirlworld. The deal represents the Toronto company’s first copro Down Under, and so far the pair have lined up ABC Australia, CBeebies and CBC as commissioning broadcasters.
The show targets older preschoolers and features a blend of animation, photomontage and illustration and is decidedly music-centric.
Decode Enterprises, the distribution subsidiary of DHX Media, will handle worldwide distribution and merchandising and licensing rights for the series, excluding the U.K., which will be represented by BBC Worldwide, and Australia, where mememe will take the lead.
