BNN redoes website

BNN has revamped and relaunched its website, adding breaking news, a more powerful video player and coverage of global markets from a Canadian perspective.

‘Our viewers expect to find breaking news and up-to-the-minute international business information from BNN,’ says channel GM Jack Fleischmann. ‘And after testing out our new features over the past month, we are confident that this revamped site will enhance that service. Through new features like our blogs, viewers will also become better acquainted with their favorite BNN personalities.’

The financial news channel, owned by CTVglobemedia, has also announced a $25,000 contest, driving contestants to bnn.ca. Running until June 13, the BNN $25,000 Challenge will award three weekly prizes valued at $5,000 and one grand prize of $25,000 — to be deposited in an E*TRADE Canada account.

The channel, formerly known as ROBtv, was itself relaunched last spring as the more multi-platform Business News Network.
