The Barenaked Ladies are teaming up with Kids’ CBC to perform two songs from their debut children’s album with the pubcaster’s popular preschool character Mamma Yamma. The performance premieres May 19 during the 7-11 a.m Kids’ Canada block.

The Ladies will sing 7,8,9 and Raisins from the CD entitled Snacktime with puppeteer Ali Eisner — who portrays the lovable puppet yam on the preschool show. The performance will be taped at the CBC’s Toronto headquarters on May 13 on the set of Mamma Yamma’s Kensington Market Kitchen.

The premiere of the performance coincides with a watch-and-win contest which kids can enter online to win a Barenaked Ladies prize pack.

Kids’ Canada has featured music from other Canadian artists including Ron Sexsmith and Bedouin Soundclash. Hosted by Patty Sullivan and Sidd Bobb, the Kids’ Canada segment is set in various locations across Canada.
