APTN is broadening its regional programming, and, on Monday — the start of the its spring schedule — will start airing six hours of programming ‘targeting unique audiences across Canada’ through its east and west broadcast feeds.
The feeds were previously differentiated only by a three-hour delay.
‘Through this initiative, APTN is ensuring that viewers across the country are able to see programs that are more relevant to their respective regions,’ said CEO Jean LaRose, in a release.
The spring schedule on the aboriginal-aimed channel includes Warriors: TKO, which follows four fighters from rival boxing clubs as they train together; the fifth and final season of renegadepress.com; and a new season of Rez Rides, charting the adventures of Mohawk entrepreneur and ‘King of car customizing’ Brian White. The channel has also set aside a day of special programming on March 21, marking the International Day for the Elimination of Racism.
