Cartoon Network Germany has picked up the rights to Chop Socky Chooks, an in-the-works copro by DHX Media and Aardman Animations. The companies are currently in production on a 26 x 30 run of the new 3D series, about a team of kung fu chickens, due to air in Canada on Teletoon. It is aimed at the 7-11 set and follows the DHX/Aardman copro Planet Sketch.

The series has a multi-territory agreement with Cartoon Network. ‘We are delighted that Cartoon Network in Germany has followed the other international Cartoon Network channels in committing to Chop Socky Chooks,’ said Neil Court, head of DHX’s distribution wing, in a statement. ‘This is another deal in Germany for us following our recent agreement with SuperRTL for The Latest Buzz.
