Quebecor president and CEO Pierre Karl Péladeau will lead a presentation on digital content strategy at nextMEDIA’s upcoming Toronto conference, say organizers.
The two-day seminar, nextMEDIA: Monetizing Digital Media, brings together major players in advertising, broadcasting, publishing and new media to explore the many ways digital content can be produced.
In his presentation, Péladeau will draw examples from Quebecor’s Canoe network of websites, which draw nearly eight million visitors per month in Canada, and include canoe.ca, autonet.ca, jobboom.ca, Jam! and Cnews. Quebecor has inked numerous content deals with producers to feed the growing video components on its web networks.
‘Canoe.ca has quickly become a leader in video content production and distribution,’ commented Mark Greenspan, director of digital media at organizers Achilles Media, in a release.
Other speakers at the conference, which runs Nov. 27-28, include Brandon Berger, director of digital innovation for MDC Partners; Daniel Tibbets, EVP and studio chief of GoTV Networks; and William Travis, president of ATTIK.
The conference follows Achilles’ annual nextMEDIA event that takes place alongside its Banff World Television Festival.
