Fromer arrives on Slice

Slice is adding a new Canadian adventure series, an import from Down Under and more Tori and Dean to its reality- and lifestyle-heavy schedule for November.

The ‘guilty pleasures’ channel will premiere The List on Nov. 13 at 8 p.m. ET/PT. The new adventure series is hosted by Liza Fromer, former cohost of BreakfastTelevision on Citytv Toronto. In each episode, she helps people realize life-long dreams such as singing on stage with INXS and ‘decadent desires’ — like bathing in champagne.

Meanwhile, the Tori Spelling saga continues with season two of Tori & Dean: Inn Love, which bows that same night at 10 p.m. ET/PT. In round two, Spelling and her husband, Canadian actor Dean McDermott, continue to juggle running their country B&B with parenting their new son Liam and pursuing their acting careers. Episode highlights include the couple taking trips to the U.K., Toronto and New York, a pregnancy scare and a gay wedding. The Biggest Loser Australia — a redo of the popular U.S. reality — will have its North American premiere on Nov. 15 at 10 p.m. ET/PT.

Elsewhere on the cable dial, the 6 x 60 anthology Masters of Science Fiction premieres Nov. 11 at 7 p.m. ET/4 p.m. PT on Space. The B.C.-shot series, seen on ABC in the U.S., features stories by classic sci-fi writers Isaac Asimov, Ray Bradbury, Robert Heinlein and H.G. Wells — tied together with opening and closing narration from physicist Stephen Hawking. It features actors including Sam Waterston, Judy Davis, Anne Heche, James Cromwell and John Hurt.

On Discovery HD, the four-part series Icons of Power debuts on Nov. 11, followed by the 6 x 60 Rogue Nature on Nov. 15. Icons profiles controversial leaders from history, while Rogue gets up close and personal with wild animals. It is hosted by predator expert Dave Salmoni.
