CTV and TSN have inked former NFL quarterback and star of The Bachelor, Jesse Palmer, to a contract. Palmer will pull double duty as a New York entertainment correspondent for CTV’s eTalk Daily and as an NFL analyst for TSN.
While eTalk hasn’t announced any specific plans for Palmer beyond covering celebrity news and gossip, TSN has announced that he will do a weekly wrap-up of NFL games on its SportsCentre newscast to be called ‘Monday Morning Quarterback.’
After only four years playing in the NFL — mostly as a back-up — the Toronto native remodeled his celebrity and starred on the hit series The Bachelor in 2004.
Palmer says he is pleased to be returning home to put his talents to good use.
‘Although I’ve spent most of my adult life in the U.S., I’m still a Canadian at heart and I’m excited to appear on the airwaves north of the border,’ Palmer said in a press release. ‘This is a unique opportunity that combines my passion for football and interest in the world of entertainment. I grew up watching TSN and am thrilled to now be part of the team.’
