Mystery TV gets a makeover

CanWest MediaWorks has put a new look on its Mystery TV digital channel, and has a new website set to launch this fall. The new on-air and online elements were created by CanWest and Winnipeg-based Systematic Design and, according to a release, are meant to freshen the ‘visual identity’ of the crime- and suspense-themed channel.

New additions to the fall schedule include Las Vegas and Bones. Returning shows on the list include Law & Order: SVU, Law & Order: CI, House, NCIS, Shark and Numb3rs.

An ad campaign in the fall will target digital TV customers through interactive program guides, newspapers and other CanWest partners.

Mystery TV recently ranked first among digital channels for women aged 18-34, women 18-49 and women 25-54 in Canada, according to BBM/Nielsen ratings for January 8-May 27. It was also number one among digitals for the adult 25-54 demo, as measured by BBM/Nielsen from March 26 to July 1.

‘With the definitive collection of current suspense and crime drama franchises, plus a contemporary and slick new on-air identity, we’re poised to continue the amazing growth of Mystery TV,’ said Walter Levitt, SVP of television marketing at CanWest.
