Anderson goes Frantic

Derek Anderson has joined Frantic Films as director of development for its live-action division, looking to add to the Winnipeg shop’s lifestyle, science, history and drama slate.

‘As we continue to expand our live action capabilities, Derek will be an integral part of that ongoing development,’ said Frantic executive producer and CEO Jamie Brown in a statement. ‘His extensive experience in the entertainment industry will help maintain the company’s recent momentum as well as develop new markets and opportunities.’

Anderson was previously head of development at Cream Productions (Digging Up the Trenches, The Protestant Revolution) in Toronto and, before that, at Cineflix Productions.

He will work out of Toronto, and also look to take Frantic’s live-action shows into digital media. Recent Frantic productions include ‘Til Debt Do Us Part and Quest for the Sea.
