Toronto animation house Cookie Jar Entertainment has hired entertainment lawyer Ed Adams as VP of business affairs and sales, posting him to the Los Angeles office, where he will report to president and COO Toper Taylor.

In the newly created position, Adams will support the prodco’s legal and sales teams on entertainment issues and publishing sales.

Adams started his career at Cartoon Network Studios, where he headed up the business and legal affairs department since the studio’s inception until 1995, and has since overseen development and production of various live-action and animation television, DTV and feature films.

‘With his broad experience and knowledge, Ed will be a tremendous asset to Cookie Jar as the company continues to grow,’ said Taylor in a release.
