Sullivan snaps up Robot

Darius Films has sold the international distribution rights for its Run Robot Run to Sullivan Entertainment International.

The deal announced Monday will see SEI, the foreign sales wing of Toronto’s Sullivan Entertainment, handle the oddball feature from first-timer Daniel O’Connor, which has been on the festival circuit since its completion last year. It was exec produced by Darius boss Nicholas Tabarrok (The Life and Hard Times of Guy Terrifico, Weirdsville).

The low-budget comedy — about a futuristic factory worker (Chris Gibbs) who loses his job and, possibly, his girlfriend to an android replacement (Peter Mooney) — took the best comedy/drama prize at the White Sands Film Festival in February, and will play Winnipeg in June.
