CTV wants your body

A new CTV contest will give one fan of CSI: Crime Scene Investigation a chance to play dead on an episode of the hit crime drama.

The winner of the ‘CSI Miniature Killer Contest’ — which starts Thursday and will see its winner appear as a corpse sometime next season — will also get a trip for two to Los Angeles and a complete tour of the show’s set. It coincides with the upcoming ‘miniature killer’ storyline that will continue through May.

CTV will announce the winner during the May 17 season finale.

Meanwhile, the network also announced that its new reality series On the Lot, billed as a search for the next great filmmaker and featuring Canadian competitors, will premiere May 22, following the season’s final American Idol performance episode. The show is exec produced by Mark Burnett and Steven Spielberg.

Judges for the first two audition episodes will be made up of a variety of filmmaking veterans, including actress Carrie Fisher (Star Wars) and directors Brett Ratner (Rush Hour 3) and Garry Marshall (Pretty Woman). Judges for additional rounds, as well as the series’ host, will be announced at a later date.
