L.A.-based distributor Program Partners (Da Vinci’s Inquest, Degrassi: The Next Generation) has promoted execs David Hutchinson and Chad MacDonald. Hutchinson, up from a VP post, is now SVP of program operations and new media, in charge of program distribution systems and technologies including new media platforms.
‘Our broadband and new media activity has more than doubled in the last year, and David has been driving it,’ said Program principal Josh Raphaelson in a release.
MacDonald has been made executive director, TV research and regional sales, up from his role as director. Both played leading roles in expanding the company’s television distribution operation.
‘[Chad] is a leader on a proven successful team that is putting six programs on the air in syndication this year,’ added Raphaelson.
Program Partners is marketing Degrassi in partnership with Vancouver’s Thunderbird Films, and has sold the teen series in roughly 70% of the U.S. markets. The company also carries Da Vinci’s Inquest, Cold Squad and ReGenesis, among others.
