Seville International has picked up Ma fille, mon ange, and will represent the Quebec box-office smash when it goes to market later this year at Cannes.
‘With its highly original script, strong aesthetics and direction and inspiring performances, the film is sure to be well received by international buyers,’ said Anick Poirier, VP of international sales at Seville, in a release.
The French-language thriller by director Alexis Durand-Brault and Remstar Productions is distributed domestically by Alliance Atlantis Vivafilm and has earned more than $2 million in Quebec.
The story follows a college student (Karine Vanasse) who goes missing in the seedy world of Internet porn, and her father (Michel Côté) who goes looking for her.
