Cookie Jar Entertainment has hired Brian Gladman to head its consumer products department, based in Toronto. The appointment is in line with the Montreal-based toonco’s plans to expand its global licensing team.
‘We look forward to enhancing our Canadian licensing activities under Brian’s experienced guidance,’ said John Gildea, Cookie Jar’s SVP of consumer products and licensing, in a release.
Gladman was previously manager of sales and retail marketing for Venture Licensing of Canada, overseeing promotion for outfits including Sesame Workshop, Strawberry Shortcake and Sony Pictures. He also held positions at Hasbro Canada and DreamCatcher.
Meanwhile, Cookie Jar has also tapped retail veteran Cathy Parks to head its North American retail and promotions department, working out of its Los Angeles office. She joins Cookie Jar after serving as head of retail for Brand Sense Partners, where her clients included Dodge, Elizabeth Arden and the American Museum of Natural History.
