Grammys up for Global

Sunday night’s airing of the Grammy Awards played well for Global Television, which drew 1.8 million viewers to the American music awards, up 25% among all viewers from last year and noting a 30% gain among those aged 18-49.

The numbers eclipse those for the most recent Junos, the Canadian music awards, which played to a total of 1.7 million viewers on CTV last year.

CTV also got off to a strong start this week, and is crowing that Monday night’s episode of Corner Gas drew 1.7 million viewers, a high point for the season, despite playing opposite a two-hour ep of 24, which clocked in at 1.5 million.
