Clattenburg, Silverman going to Banff

Some of the names behind such hit TV shows as Trailer Park Boys, The Office and Ugly Betty will be sharing their thoughts and expertise at the Banff World Television Festival this year in Banff, AB.

The fest has announced that Mike Clattenburg, writer/director/producer of the hit Showcase series Trailer Park Boys; Greg Daniels, executive producer of NBC’s The Office; Ben Silverman, executive producer of ABC’s Ugly Betty; and Susanne Daniels, president of Lifetime Entertainment Services, will be taking part in Banff’s In Conversation With… and Master Class series.

‘We are thrilled to be hosting such fascinating and celebrated speakers,’ said Jennifer Harkness, BWTVF’s director of content, in a release.

It was previously announced that Dawn Airey will deliver the event’s keynote address at the Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel. Airey has been the managing director of channels and services at British Sky Broadcasting, headquartered in London, since 2003. She’s held positions in the British television industry for 18 years, including senior roles at Central TV, the ITV network and Channel 4.

In her speech, Airey will discuss future trends in the broadcast industry, both in the U.K. and internationally.

The Banff World Television Festival runs June 10-13.
