Regina: 4 Square Productions of Regina has linked arms with Australia’s Visionquest Entertainment to make Medicine Woman – a factual 13 x 30 that follows host Dr. Daniele Behn on a tour of the world’s shamans, herbalists and other mystic healers.

The treaty copro is now shooting under director Shirley Cheechoo (Johnny Tootall), and will continent hop between the Arctic, South America, the South Pacific and Africa, looking to air in 2007.

Medicine Woman will air here on VisionTV, and on APTN, SCN and Equator HD USA. U.K.-based Parthenon Entertainment will distribute.

Joan Jenkinson, head of lifestyle and dramatic programming at Vision, cites the growing interest in ‘complementary medicine’ and indigenous healers among Westerners as the impetus for the show.
