Vancouver – Director Uwe Boll is fed up with having his films slammed by critics and has issued an open challenge for five of his most vocal critics to fight him over the last two days of the Brightlight Pictures production of Postal, which will begin shooting in September in Vancouver, according to Boll spokesperson Bill Wanstrom.
This is not a joke.
The fights will take place in the form of boxing matches. Would-be contenders must weight in at between 140 and 190 pounds, and have proof of their anti-Boll comments. Boll, who has some boxing experience, was unavailable for comment.
In the meantime, Boll and Brightlight are gearing up for production on Seed, which will get underway in July. Boll has been at the helm of such universally panned fare as BloodRayne and Alone in the Dark.
Brightlight is also developing a feature about the life of former hockey star Ted Nolan with current NHLer Anson Carter and his business partner Brant Feldman, managing director of American Group Management.
