* After some shuffling on the Rogers Communications board of directors, company CFO Alan Horn has taken over as chair from the recently resigned Garfield Emerson. Horn’s CFO duties will be handled by Rogers EVP Bill Linton.
* Jennifer Stewart is now director of acquisitions for network programming at CBC Television, moving up from a four-year tenure as director of international coproduction.
* Kate Hanley is stepping down as president of Women in Film and Television – Toronto, and will exit the organization on April 21. Hanley says she wants to spend more time with her newly adopted daughter.
* Former MoviePlus president Jean-Michel Ciszewski is Cookie Jar Entertainment’s new senior VP of international sales and coproductions, replacing Sam Ewing, who left for a new job in the U.S. Ciszewski will work out of Cookie Jar’s Paris office.
* Mario Mota has been hired by the CFTPA as senior director of broadcast relations and research, coming over from a VP spot at Decima Research.
* Anna Gecan is now VP of content at Alliance Atlantis’ HGTV, moving up from director of original content for that channel and Life Network. Also at AAC, Emily Morgan has been named VP of content for Food Network and Fine Living, coming over from the same post at IFC, Showcase Action and Showcase Diva.
* David Goldstein has been promoted to VP of government and regulatory affairs at CHUM Limited, up from a government affairs posting.
* APTN has promoted Lea Todd to director of creative services and scheduling, up from scheduling manager.
* Toronto design shop Loopmedia has promoted Jane Broadfoot from producer to senior producer, and hired Steven Hollman as a designer.
* Chris Gailus has joined Global B.C. as the weekend anchor of News Hour. Gailus has previously worked in news at ABC, Fox and elsewhere.
