George Walker (This Is Wonderland) and partner Dani Romain are developing a new series for The Movie Network and Movie Central, and plan to coproduce the one-hour drama Adult Entertainment with Debbie Nightingale (Chicks with Sticks).

The series will be set in the suburbs, says Walker – likely in the corridor that runs between Toronto and Hamilton. But that’s all he’ll say for now.

Walker is unhappy that Wonderland was cancelled and recently said he will never work with CBC again. He says he was deeply moved, however, when fans recently put forth an online petition to revive the show.

‘I don’t think I’ve ever been so moved. I was really taken aback by it,’ he says.

The petition had 2,600 signatures at last count. The final episode aired March 15.
