Family Channel will debut its newest series Life with Derek on March 24, following a round of on-air and online sneak previews. The first ep of the 13 x 30 comedy ran over the March 10-12 weekend on www.family.ca – the first sneak peek of its kind, says Family – leading into five days of on-air promotion.

The series is a copro by Shaftesbury Films and Pope Productions, and hangs on the rivalry between a stepbrother and sister, played by Michael Seater and Ashley Leggat. It was created and cowritten by Daphne Ballon (I Was a Sixth Grade Alien), who also exec produces with Christina Jennings and Scott Garvie of Shaftesbury.
