Breakdancing doc returns to Toronto

Toronto – The makers of All Out War are hoping to organize a day-long competition this spring as the centerpiece for their feature documentary about break dancing. The doc has been shooting in Germany, Las Vegas, L.A. and New York since last year, following the performances of full-time ‘B-Boy’ and ‘B-Girl’ dancers.

‘It’s really about what a professional B-Boy’s lifestyle is. These are really, extremely talented people,’ says Jeremy McMillan, who produces with director Robert Pilichowski. ‘What drives them?’

The pair is working on a $250,000 budget, backed by the Canada and Ontario Arts Councils, and plan to shop a cut to broadcasters, distributors and festivals by fall. Sean Davidson
