Teletoon signs seven
Toronto – Teletoon has signed seven development deals with Canuck producers, looking to line the shelves of its kids, after-school and grownup programming blocks. The Corus Entertainment-owned specialty is looking at four new series and three specials.
CCI Entertainment is developing the Flash-animated Foolish Girl, based on the work of cartoonist Vesna Mostovac, while Blueprint Entertainment (The Wrong Coast) has partnered with National Geographic on the 2D and Flash-ed Iggy Arbuckle Nature Freak, aimed at six-to-nine-year-olds.
Cité-Amérique is developing Road Hogs for the adult-ish Detour block and Breakthrough Entertainment got a nod for the preteen series Jimmy Two-Shoes.
Les Productions Vic Pelletier and Portfolio Entertainment are both at work on holiday specials – Poussière D’Étoile and Hershel and the Hanukkah Goblins, respectively – and Amberwood Productions got the nod for the one-off The Ghost Fiddler of Sable Island, based on Canuck folklore. Sean Davidson
