* Louis Fournier is now president of GalaKids, the new children’s entertainment arm of Galafilm. Fournier was previously president of the youth and animation unit at TVA International, and was head of distribution at Cinar.
* Ken Faier is the new president of Vancouver animation shop Nerdcorps Entertainment, leaving a VP post at Alliance Atlantis.
* Dan Lyon is now feature film unit director for Telefilm Canada’s Ontario and Nunavut regions. Lyon, a former entertainment lawyer and producer with his own Dandelion Entertainment, replaces David Forget, now the regional director.
* Anita Lee has joined the National Film Board’s Ontario Centre as a producer. Lee is a former head of development at Sienna Films and produced numerous features, including Proteus and The Art of Woo.
* Tom Mudd has joined Frantic Films as director of development for its live-action division. A former interactive producer, Mudd’s last job was head of development for Microtainment/Docutainment Productions.
* Gabrielle Free has quit as director of communications at the Toronto International Film Festival to take a post with the Ontario Ministry of Citizenship and Immigration.
* David Novek is now president of the Audio-Visual Preservation Trust of Canada. Novek, president of public relations firm Novek Communications, has been an AV Trust board member for the last three years.
* Erin Paul has joined Rogers Sportsnet as a feature producer and reporter for sportsnetnews. Paul spent the past nine years at CBC as a producer/reporter for Sports Saturday and was the network’s cohost of the 2003 Pan Am Games.
Martine Gaillard has jumped from The Score to Sportsnet to be host of sportsnetnews. Gaillard joined The Score in 1999 and is best known as a cohost of its The Score Tonight.
