The Department of Canadian Heritage is preparing to rethink its copro policies, and will meet in the spring with stakeholders to ‘review and refine’ Ottawa’s role in the coproduction process.

A department spokesperson says that, among other things, the feds want to bring copros in line with other government audiovisual policies and to lay down criteria for finding new coproduction partners. A discussion paper is expected in the coming weeks.
