Glacial warming
Vancouver – After moving at a glacial pace, the long-awaited Disney feature Antarctica is finally going ahead in Vancouver.
Production, with director/uber-producer Frank Marshall in the director’s chair, begins Feb. 21 and goes until May 17.
Paul Walker (The Fast and the Furious) stars in the inspired-by-true-events story about meteor-chasing adventurers in Antarctica and a rescue effort to retrieve an abandoned dogsled team.
Production is reportedly scheduled for Vancouver, where there is no snow, and northern British Columbia.
The production was originally supposed to go to camera last year with Josh Duhamel (Win a Date with Tad Hamilton!) in the lead. Ian Edwards
