* Yves Dion has been appointed president of TVA Films, replacing Pierre Lampron, who recently moved up to a VP spot at parent company Quebecor Media.

Jean-François Richard is Quebecor’s new vice-president of advertising convergence, coming over from work in retail marketing and telecommunications.

* Ralph Holt, formerly director of Telefilm Canada’s Atlantic Region, has been named its national head of English-language feature film.

* Dan Lyon is the new director of Peach Arch Entertainment Group. A lawyer by trade and 20-year industry vet, Lyon recently exec produced the feature Twist, a spin on Charles Dickens’ Oliver Twist, starring Nick Stahl.

* Kathryn Emslie is now acting executive director of the Canadian Film Centre, filling in until a replacement can be found for Wayne Clarkson. Emslie has been with the CFC since 1992 and continues to serve as its director of film and TV programs. Clarkson takes over as head of Telefilm Canada this month.

* Ian Fodie has been named CFO and VP, operations at Mainframe Entertainment in Vancouver, replacing George Lawton who left to pursue other opportunities, according to a release. Previously, Fodie was CFO at Vancouver’s International Keystone Entertainment and now-defunct Sextant Entertainment.

* Alison Green is now VP of programming and content at Bell Video Group, responsible for the acquisition and delivery of all Bell ExpressVu TV programming and pay-per-view services.

* Jane Broadfoot is the new business development and associate producer at Toronto broadcast design shop Loopmedia. She was formerly the senior producer for Spin Productions.

* Karl Pruner has been elected the new president of ACTRA Toronto for a two-year term. Pruner has served as executive officer on ACTRA Toronto’s Council, chairs two of the union’s committees, and has been an actor for 20 years. He is best known for his leading roles in E.N.G. and Ready or Not. He has also appeared in Wind at My Back, Due South, Trudeau and Welcome to Mooseport.

* Louise Lantagne and Henry Kowalski have been appointed to the Academy of Canadian Cinema & Television’s national board of directors as vice chair cinema and broadcast journalist representative, respectively. Lantagne joined Radio-Canada in 1999 as head of feature films, and eventually served as director of television programs. Kowalski is currently a television consultant and producer, and has won three RTNDA Best Newscast Awards for his work at CTV.

* Former W-Five host Tom Clark has been appointed CTV’s Washington bureau chief, replacing Alan Fryer, who will assume reporting duties for W-Five for the 2005 season.

Sarah Galashan, formerly of CTV’s Vancouver bureau, has been tapped as the net’s Alberta bureau chief.
