Eight Canucks vie at Sundance
Eight Canadian films will vie for prizes at the 2005 Sundance Film Festival, including the feature doc Shake Hands with the Devil: The Journey of Romeo Dallaire by White Pine Pictures and director Peter Raymont. Based on the retired Lt. General’s experiences during the Rwandan genocide, the CBC pic will screen in the indie fest’s new World Cinema Documentary Competition. Meanwhile, the National Film Board’s highly praised Ryan and Through My Thick Glasses, a copro with Norway by Pjotr Sapegin, are running in the Animated Shorts category. Sundance unspools in Park City, UT, Jan. 20-30.
