* Former CFTPA boss Elizabeth McDonald has resurfaced at Telefilm Canada, and is setting up a new ‘business intelligence unit’ under the funder’s international operations and development division.

* Toronto broadcast design shop Loopmedia has a trio of staff announcements. It has promoted creative director Craig Kirkham to partner after five years with the studio, and welcomes back art director Aaron White after a nine-month sabbatical. Loop also has a new staffer in senior designer Rachel K. Riggs, who comes from New York’s EyeballNYC.

* Bill Evans is director of programming at the Whistler Film Festival effective June 14. Formerly, he was the director of Showcases at the National Screen Institute in Winnipeg and director of the NSI Film Exchange Festival.
