* Toronto-based Mara Di Pasquale has been named CFO and COO at Peace Arch Entertainment Group, replacing Juliet Jones. Di Pasquale is a 15-year veteran of the entertainment business, with past stints at Gullane Entertainment, Lions Gate Entertainment and Catalyst Entertainment. Jones is still with the company as a director.

Meanwhile, Peach Arch has promoted director Lewin Webb to president of its wholly owned subsidiary GFT Entertainment.

* Anne Loi is the new senior VP, finance and operations, at Toronto’s Decode Entertainment, reporting to company partner Steven DeNure.

* Toronto-based distributor Kate Sanagan has been named a partner at Picture Box Distribution, owned by Marilyn Kynaston in Vancouver. The new relationship allows Kynaston to focus on international territories and leverages Sanagan’s North American relationships.

* Paul Dollar is the new director, television business unit, for Ontario and Nunavut at Telefilm Canada, following a year on the job as an interim replacement.

* Former Writers Guild of Canada exec Paula Pettit is now national director of industrial relations at the Toronto office of the CFTPA.

* Renee Gluck is Teletoon’s new director of creative services, replacing Gervais Vignola, who will continue with Teletoon in a consulting role. Gluck used to be the station manager of Rogers’ French-language station in Ottawa.

Susan Nakhle is Teletoon’s new director of communications, filling in for Pascale Guillotte, who is on maternity leave until September 2004. Before joining Teletoon, Nakhle was the director of public relations at CBC.

* Vancouver-based Lost Boys Studios has signed character animator Reece Mills and visual effects artist Jose Burgos to its 3D division, and added broadcast and computer specialist Darcy Bangsund to its technical team.

* The Canadian Association of Broadcasters elected its board members for 2003/04 at its recent conference.

Elected to the executive board are: Alain Gourd (joint chair), Paul Robertson (past chair), John Burgis (television chair), Peter Miller (specialty and pay chair), Rob Braide (radio chair), Bob Templeton, Jay Switzer, Luc Perreault, Doug Rutherford, Rick Arnish, Michel Arpin and Glenn O’Farrell.
