From the stage to the screen

1969: Moss graduates from the National Theatre School of Canada in Montreal

1972: Graduates from the University of Michigan with a master’s degree in theatre

1972-’73: Works at London’s Fringe Theatre

1973-’75: Works at other rep theatres in London

1975-’77: Moves over to London’s Phoenix Theatre

1977-’80: Returns to Canada as associate director of the Stratford Festival. (He would return as guest director for three more seasons in the 1980s.) Notable projects include Henry IV parts 1 & 2 and Much Ado About Nothing

1981-’90: Becomes artistic director of the Young People’s Theatre. His production of Jacob Two-Two Meets the Hooded Fang wins a Dora Award for best musical

1991-’92: Does freelance directing on projects including the Cambium Entertainment series Eric’s World and Missing Treasures for Global Television

1992-’95: Serves as creative head of children’s programming at the CBC

1995-’97: Takes over as executive director at the Children’s Television Workshop

1997-’00: Hired as VP of programming and production at YTV

2000-’02: Serves as president of Cinar

Spring 2002: Directs the CBC MOW Scar Tissue; also begins work on development of the animated children’s series Mischief City, both with Shaftesbury Films

May 2002-present: EVP of programming and development at Corus Entertainment
