Gourd, Lafleur keynotes at APFTQ congress

Montreal: Daniel Gourd, recently appointed VP French television with Radio-Canada, and Pierre Lafleur, president of Quebec cultural funding and certification agency SODEC, are the keynote speakers at the annual APFTQ congress, which is being held at Hotel Chantecler in Sainte-Adele, QC, April 24-25.

The April 24 conference agenda includes a presentation on the latest consumer trends in film and TV in the U.S. by John Krubski, president, International Thought Leadership Council of New York.

Other conference themes include new developments in audience measurement, piracy and defending intellectual property rights, and an industry overview of the international large-format production industry.

Invited panelists include Glenn O’Farrell, president and CEO, Canadian Association of Broadcasters; Roger Sirard, VP, Association of Canadian Advertisers; Alain Desormiers, president, Touche! Media-Marketing; Jacques Primeau, president l’ADISQ; Richard Paradis, president, Canadian Association of Film Distributors and Exporters; Claude Brunet, lawyer, Ogilvy Renault; and Bernard Houle, directeur-general, Consortium Format Geant.
