CBC will not necessarily spend the $60 million it received from the Ministry of Canadian Heritage equally across its radio, TV and new media outlets, as reported in our March 17 issue. The network has not yet determined how it will allot the funds.
Also in the March 17 issue, in the story ‘The Pianist tops $2.8M in Canada,’ TVA Films appears to be credited as the distributor of Gambling, Gods and LSD, The Bay of Love and Sorrows and Long Life, Happiness and Prosperity. Odeon Films is, in fact, the distrib. A line referring to Odeon was inadvertently cut when Playback went to press.
In the People section of the Feb. 3 issue, Warren Olson was announced as the new CFO for NOWTV Vancouver. While Olson is contracted to provide senior financial services for the company, he is not an officer of the company.
