The Spotlight Awards 2003, the fifth annual gala co-hosted by Women in Film & Video Vancouver and Wired Woman Society, has announced this year’s winners. The celebration, emceed by Stargate SG-1 actor Amanda Tapping, takes place March 1 at the Hyatt Regency in Vancouver.

Producer Trish Dolman, maker of documentaries and the drama feature Flower & Garnet, is WIFVV’s Woman of the Year, an award sponsored by CBC.

WIFVV’s Wayne Black Service Award goes to Shelley Gillen of Movie Central, the Sharon Gibbon Lifetime Member Award goes to Eileen Hoeter, a past WIFVV president and instructor at Vancouver Film School, and the Honorary Friend Award goes to Rob Egan, president of British Columbia Film.
