IT is with great sadness that On The Spot reports the mysterious abduction of well-loved and hard-hated commercial columnist Rick Ricketts. Ricketts disappeared at the Bessie Awards in Toronto and has not been seen since.

Video footage received at OTS shows Ricketts blurting out what appears to be a forced, poorly scripted resignation. Considering the video arrived on 3/4-inch tape, could it be that someone in the advertising industry is behind the plot?

Before the video arrived, it was assumed Ricketts had fallen into the Scarborough ditch often described as his ‘summer home.’

OTS is offering a two-week supply of Jelly Bellies (approximate retail value, $17.50) for information leading to the safe return of Ricketts.
