Last month, Vancouver’s a.k.a. Cartoon, maker of the Cartoon Network/YTV animated series Ed, Edd n Eddy, won the platinum-level award for best TV commercial/PSA series at the Houston International Film Festival, otherwise known as the 34th Annual WorldFest.

The spots, ‘High Dive/Half Pipe/ Kick Me/Spin the Ed,’ were produced by series creator Danny Antonucci.

Ed, Edd n Eddy is in its fourth season of production.

In 1993, a.k.a. won a gold-level award at WorldFest in the category of best animated TV commercial for a spot that featured Antonucci’s notorious Lupo the Butcher. *
