Navigator Films director/dop Buck Holzemer had a day helming two 15-second spots for Wrigley’s Excel brand of gum. Yvonne Buckingham executive produced for Navigator.

The creative work on the ads came from the Leo Burnett team of creative director Judy John and copywriter Siobhan Dempsey, under the art direction of Jeff Wilbee. Nancy Enderby produced for the agency.

Navigator sent director Madi Piller to Brazil for two days to shoot two :30s for Old South’s ‘Traditions’ campaign. Harry Lake handled the cinematography and Buckingham executive produced.

Creative came out of the bws one-man show of Barry Stringer, who acted as writer, art director and creative director. Peter Anastasoff produced.

Piller edited the spot, utilizing the facilities at Soho. Brad MacDonald handled sound and music.

Apple Box Productions dispatched director Randy Diplock on a two-day shoot for Nestle Canada’s Nescafe, netting four 15-second spots (‘Coffee Pot/Blender/Lick the Ring/Eating’). Peter Hartmann was behind the camera and J.J. Lyons executive produced. Emily Pengelly produced for abp.

The MacLaren McCann team of creative director Marta Cutler and art director Sam Sitt coined the creative, while Angie Loftus produced for the agency.

Chris Parkins edited at Flashcut and Rosnick MacKinnon provided the music.

Diplock also helmed four 15s over four days for Procter & Gamble, again with dop Hartmann. Andrea Hutchins executive produced and Emily Pengelly produced the spots (‘Struggle/White Wash/Laundromat/Laundry Chute’).

At agency Bensimon Byrne D’Arcy, art director Clive Mathews and writer Colin Winn comprised the creative team. David Rosenberg was the creative director and Sharon Kosokowsky produced.

Leo Zaharatos at Blue Highway handled post and Pirate Radio & Television was in charge of music. TOPIX/Mad Dog’s Sylvain Tallion contributed with some effects work.

Apple Box Vancouver sent director Craig Worsham on a one-day shoot for icbc. The 30-second ‘Race Car Drivers’ spot was shot by dop John Houtman and produced by Gillian Richards. Jane Charles Shaw executive produced for abp.

Creative for the ad came from the Palmer Jarvis ddb team of copywriter Alan Russell and art director Cosimo Campbell. Nicolette Eus produced for the agency.

Ian Jenkins posted the spot at Coast Mountain.

Chuck Gammage Animation recently completed a new Uder the Cow animated spot for Kellogg’s u.k. Gammage directed ‘Island Adventure’ and Daryl Graham and Morgan Ginsberg animated. Susie Rucska executive produced.

The cgi cereal bar featured in the spot was animated by t/md’s Tyrone McFadden and produced by Cheyenne Bloomfield.

The creative on the ad was handled by the Leo Burnett, u.k., creative team of John Jessup and Robert Gill, with Yolanda Iaonnides producing.

The Big Film Company sent director/dop George Willis on a one-day Spectrum assignment, which resulted in two :30s, ‘Lava Lamp’ and ‘Bells.’ Angie Colgoni executive produced.

The Grey Advertising team of art director Peter Cooke and writer Chris Seguin served up the creative, with David Smith producing.

Corrections & clarifications

The Big Film Company’s Ron Chapman directed a :30 for Nikon, not Nokia as reported in the Jan. 8 Shots & Chasers.

Linda Hassani is still on the Rave Films roster and was used only by Critical Madness for the Manitoba Lottery Corporation spots mentioned in the last s&c. Hassani is not officially on the Critical Madness roster of directors. •
