Vancouver: The first Whistler International Film and Television Festival debuts Nov. 16-19 in Whistler, b.c.

Featuring a trade show, market, new media and world premieres of films, the Whistler festival was created by Leagh Gabriel and Susan Cooke Dosot of Vancouver.

Film event veterans Carrie Hunter and Hanna Fisher consulted during the start-up. Exhibitor Tom Lightburn, casting director Coreen Mayrs and agent Leonard Bonnell programmed the festival.

During each of the four days of the festival, five short films will precede five feature films. *
