Montreal: Telefilm Canada reports the National Training Program in the Film and Video Sector is now accepting requests for funding for fiscal 2000/01. The deadline for submissions to the appropriate regional office, along with the requisite documentation, is Sept. 29.

Since 1997, Telefilm has administered the advanced, pre-professional National Training Program on behalf of Canadian Heritage. In November ’99, Heritage Minister Sheila Copps announced an additional multi-year contribution increasing the program’s annual budget to $2.6 million in ’00/01, and $2.8 million for subsequent years.
