The 7th annual Raindance Film Festival spotlights Canada at Raindance, a program of 12-15 features, shorts and documentaries that promises to deliver the best of Canadian film to the European screen.
The festival, taking place in London, Eng. Oct. 13-26, targets international film acquisition execs just prior to the Milan market and aims to reflect the cultural, visual and narrative diversity of international independent filmmakers.
The festival has hosted the u.k. and English premieres of Pulp Fiction, What’s Eating Gilbert Grape, The Blair Witch Project and Oscar nominees On the Ropes and Killing Joe.
Canada at Raindance is being programmed by producer Debbie Nightingale, cofounder of Hot Docs! and the Toronto International Film Festival’s Industry Centre.
