Pool rolls out English debut

Lea Pool (Emporte-Moi) makes her English directorial debut with the Quebec/Ontario coproduction Lost and Delirious.

The film, which recently went to camera and will be shooting in Lennoxville, Que. and Montreal until July 9, is produced by Cite-Amerique’s Lorraine Richard and Louis-Philippe Rochon, and Dummett Films’ Greg Dummett.

Based on the novel The Wives of Bath by Susan Swan and adapted for the screen by Judith Thompson, Lost and Delirious (working title) is about three girls in a very conservative, all-girls school and their secret cult of love and sex.

Cast includes Piper Perabo (Coyote Ugly, The Adventures of Rocky and Bullwinkle), Jessica Pare (Stardom), Mischa Barton (The Sixth Sense), Jackie Burroughs (Road to Avonlea) and Graham Greene (The Green Mile). Pierre Gill (Joan of Arc) is the shoot’s dop and Serge Bureau is the art director.

Seville Pictures has Canadian distribution and TFI International has international distribution.

The film is being financed with the assistance of Telefilm Canada, sodec, the Canadian Television Fund, the Quebec, Ontario and federal tax credit programs, Citytv, Super Channel, Radio-Canada and pay-tv movie services TMN-The Movie Network/Super Ecran.
