* Imax Corp. has named Richard Inrator to the newly created position of president, Imax Enterprises, and exec vp, Imax Ltd. Imax Enterprises will be charged with developing new business initiatives for Imax’s giant-screen theatre business, as well as in the company’s other emerging areas, including its digital technology initiatives.

* Deborah Drisdell has joined Vancouver’s Sextant Entertainment Group as vp, international coproductions/acquisitions. Most recently, she was director of international relations for Telefilm Canada and negotiated coproduction treaty deals.

* Jay Switzer replaces Mark Rubenstein as senior vp and gm of ChumCity, while retaining his role as senior vp of programming at Chum Television. Rubenstein, who has been with CHUM Ltd., for more than 13 years, has resigned to explore new creative opportunities.

* Johanne St-Arnauld has been appointed to the position of interim director, international relations, Telefilm Canada. St-Arnauld, formerly international coproductions manager, replaces Deborah Drisdell, who will be leaving Telefilm Canada on April 15 to continue her career in the private sector.

* Pat Palumbo is named director of finance and administration at Montreal-based CineGroupe. A ca, he spent the past 10 years with PricewaterhouseCoopers in various sectors including multimedia and entertainment.

* Bruce Cowie, special advisor to ctv president Ivan Fecan, has been elected president of the board of the North American Broadcasters Association. He replaces Robert G. Ottenhoff, former coo of pbs.
